Buhari expresses condolences to Bongos Ikwue on the death of his wife, Josephine Ifeyinwa.

President Muhammadu Buhari has joined the entertainment sector, notably artists and musicians, in expressing condolences to ace instrumentalist, singer, and composer Bongos Ikwue, who recently lost his wife, Josephine Ifeyinwa, 73.

Buhari expressed his condolences to family members, friends, the Catholic Women Organisation, the International Association of Lions Clubs, and colleagues of Bongos-family Ikwue’s in a statement sent by his spokesperson, Mr Femi Adesina, on Friday in Abuja.

The dead belonged to the Ijeh Royal family of Issele-Uku Town in Delta, but she spent the majority of her life with the Benue-born artist.

The president emphasized the deceased’s devotion to mankind and to the Church.

He also praised her for helping the poor and needy around the country, particularly prisoners, whom she visited on a daily basis to pray with, counsel, and guide on the fear of God, as well as assistance for those awaiting trial and their families.

Buhari stated that her contributions to family stability, sense of duty in community development, and love for God will be remembered forever.

The president appealed to Almighty God to console the famous artist and his family, as well as to provide the wife and mother a peaceful slumber.
