Tanzanian police released musician Kiss Daniel after he fails to appear at a concert.
Oluwatobi Daniel aka Kizz Daniel, a Nigerian singer, has been released by Tanzanian police after being arrested on Monday afternoon.
The artist was detained after failing to appear on stage for a scheduled show on Sunday.
Kiss Daniel was detained at Dar es Salaam’s Oyster Bay Police Station, Civil Police, for failing to appear for a paid performance in the East African country.
Kizz Daniel was scheduled to play at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania on Sunday night as part of his Afro Classic World Tour.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), which confirmed the development on its Twitter handle on Monday, said: “His (Kiss Daniel) legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria.”
